Another pond cleanup in the books. Watts Pond in Torbay, NL is a lot cleaner and safer for all to enjoy. Everything here I pulled off the bottom of the pond while snorkelling and free- diving in 3 hours. Several times I had to anchor my dinghy, dive down and pull a tire out of the mud and swim back to shore with it. The tractor trailer tires was challenging but it’s done:)
Big thanks to Nikki and George Crisfield of Lethbridge, AB for your support in covering my expenses on this one. Water is life!
Enjoy the great outdoors and stay safe.
24 of the vintage glass bottles and jars after cleaning we pulled from Watts Pond in Torbay on our last two Pond Cleanups . 6 JAVEX , 2 CERTO , several PONDS Cream Jars , 2 SCUFF-KOTE , 1 Miller High Life BBO ( Bottom Bottle Opener) and 1 Brookfield , New York Telegraph Insulator and a couple blue ones .
10 Food Manufacturers Federation ( FMF monogram) vintage jam jars . Anyone remember having jam from these clear jars with the round thick rim ? All these jars came from the bottom of Watts Pond in Torbay .
Pond Cleanup # 12 . Watts Pond in Torbay again . Due to the great cleanup we did last week we returned and completed the other half of this pond and its quite impressive the amount of material we were able to remove from bottom in a few hours. Few collectables there too !! Two Guys, Two Yaks, One Mission ! We will make it a better, much cleaner environment for the next generation! One waterbody at a time !
Pond Cleanup #11 for 2019 . Watts Pond, Torbay . When we started this passion of ours we decided that whatever we could bring to surface and our kayaks could hold it we would . Anything that we found on the bottom of a pond that didn’t belong there we would remove it, if we could, and post pics to our fb page . Anyways we did find one of the most interesting items yet . Check it out
