“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”. If we can deter one person from doing this senseless act of tossing their garbage out into the environment rather than taking it to a landfill site, then today we have made some progress.
On my way home from work today I stopped near Raymond’s bridge on the Robert E. Howlett highway, put on my snowshoes and plucked from the alders someone’s garbage from a small renovation job that was tossed there very recently. My dad always says, “ it don’t do any harm, to do good.”
Makes no difference if it’s for your neighbour, a stranger, wildlife or the environment. Please respect this beautiful province we call home, stay safe, be kind and feel free to share:)
Everyday while driving to and from work I see the same items in the ditch off the Robert E Howlett Memorial Drive. Well today I decided to stop on the way home at several places and remove everything I could that didn’t belong before tomorrow’s snowstorm hits. From Bay Bulls Big Pond to Ruby Line everyone will, for now enjoy the drive without seeing this trash anymore. Anything we can reuse or recycle we will and the rest will go to Robin Hood Bay Landfill. Stay safe and let’s keep NL clean and healthy.
Two guys back at it again. This time in Gould’s, NL. First, we would like to give a big thank you to Nikki and George Crisfield, of Lethbridge, Alberta for your support. Secondly, thanks to the person ahead of us at Tims around 7:30 am this morning in Manuals, CBS that bought us coffee as we headed out to do our cleanup. We appreciate it.
We walked the back trails and roads off Robert E. Howlett Memorial highway and pulled from the woods everything we found that we can recycle. We both were amazed with the amount of unnecessary dumping in this area. Pack it in, pack it out. Stay safe , Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our followers. Enjoy and share if you wish
I spent abit of time in the woods in the Gould’s area off Robert E. Howlett highway hunting so I decided to clean up as I went and back pack all the items I found. All this came from about half a dozen trips and will be recycled or returned to the depots. Pack it in, Pack it out. Stay safe:)
