Beautiful Portugal Cove, NL. A walk along the outside of the guardrail today after did a beachcombing cleanup while I watched the Bell Island ferry dock. I plucked all these from the boulders and filled a big garbage bag. Stay safe
Note; this is the lower road to the fish harvesters wharf and salt/sand pile. Although it appears to be a popular spot for viewing, it is not the entrance to the bell island ferry and for the record, I do not point fingers as to how they ended up there. However they are cleaned up, pull tabs removed for Ronald McDonald House Charities NL and they will be recycled

This morning I headed to Beachy Cove Elementary and dropped off over 100 weathered pieces of driftwood I have collected this year on my beachcombing cleanups. All for the students of the Grade 3 classes to pick through for their Christmas painting project. Hope they enjoy them as I’m sure there will be some amazing end results.
After that I headed over to Portugal Cove for a couple hours beachcombing and filled 6 bags full, as well as a few treasures:)
Stay safe everyone.
Portugal cove from the ferry terminal going west beach-combing. It’s amazing what gets washed ashore and wedged between the rocks after high winds, storm surges and high tides. I had quite the cleanup on such a short section of beach. Stay safe everyone:)
