Nearys Pond, Portugal Cove, NL yesterday for over 4 hours in the water makes pond cleanup #22 for 2026 summer season.
Big thanks to Carol Murphy for reaching out and offering to cover my expenses on this pond cleanup. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
This is a popular swimming spot and it felt really good to remove the hundreds of pieces of old broken glass from the bottom in the area I covered as well as the other trash.
It’s much healthier and safer there now because you care! Stay safe
Pond dive # 16 for summer of 2025.

From Neary’s pond bottom to this beauty! Before and after pics. This one took a little bit longer to fill with frosted sea-glass as my big sook “muff” wanted one of my arms as a pillow, lol. Also this one is already spoken for
Stay safe !
A good news story! I paid a visit to Keith Field this morning after he reached out to me regarding the eye glasses I found yesterday in Neary’s pond in Portugal Cove, NL. His 15 year old daughter Claire lost them in June while swimming. Also gifted their lovely family with a sea glass filled bottle from one of my cleanups and a decal. Thanks so much for reaching out to me and stay safe
Neary’s pond in Portugal Cove, NL makes #17 for this summer. Again lots of items removed from this swimming spot. Found a pair of prescription eye glasses on bottom as well. Hopefully the owner sees this post and I can give them back to them. Stay safe
# 4 for the summer is in the books ! Neary’s Pond in Portugal Cove today for over 4 hours . Lots of broken glass I removed from bottom and a few old glass ones still intact as well.
A big thank you to Jason Druken for the generous Tims card that I used today for lunch before hitting the waters. Stay safe everyone
