Long Pond. Bay Bulls, NL for the second time this summer season. Still recovering lots of older trash as far back as the 1950’s.
This cleanup today was done in honour and memory of Joe and Helen Coady.

Long Pond, Bay Bulls. Completed the last section of this pond yesterday and now I have went full circle around it cleaning up everything that didn’t belong on the bottom. This cleanup was possible by our friends, Nikki and George Crisfield of Alberta who care about the environment and believe in us to do what we can to make things better! Thanks for your support. Congrats to the people of Bay Bulls and surrounding area on this announcement. I compiled a bunch of pictures of the five cleanups we carried out at Long Pond, Bay Bulls in the last couple of years. Number 20!!!!! Last pond cleanup for 2020 summer season. A solo, revisit to Long Pond, Bay Bulls to do one more cleanup effort. The snorkelling/ free-diving for this season has come to an end for us and we thank everyone for their support in this record breaking year for us. In the last 4 years Avalon Pond Cleanups has carried out 72 underwater pond cleanups to try and restore our beautiful fresh water bodies to how they once were.
Pond Cleanup # 9 for 2020 season. This is the fifth kayak full of material pulled from Long Pond in Bay Bulls. A solo effort of 3.5 hours of snorkelling after work yesterday to do another section of this pond to restore it to where it needs to be. All in time
Pond Cleanup #7 for 2020 summer season. A solo effort on this second trip back to Long Pond in Bay Bulls this summer. Seen a few small trout and one eel. Not done with this waterbody yet as it’s been hit extremely hard over the years with lots of cans and bottles. Eventually it will be restored to where it should be. Enjoy
Long pond in Bay Bulls. Pond Cleanup # 2 for 2020. Again a solo effort on this one after work but it’s a beautiful pond and it deserved it good cleanup of one section near the highway. All pulled from the bottom of the pond in about 1 to 6 ft of water.
Pond Cleanup # 3 ,2019 . Long Pond . Bay Bulls ! Recycle, reuse, dispose of waste properly ! We and more importantly our kids and grandkids, along with animals, fish, and plants all need unpolluted water to survive . Two guys, two yaks, one mission ! We can do better than this and we will fix the damage already done one waterbody at a time
