Went for a walk down on the trails near Bremigens Pond and came across this pile of items dumped in the bushes. Looks like someone figured it was a great spot to make it their dumping ground. Very close to the pond.
This much is cleaned up now, recyclable materials are kept to recycle and the garbage has been taken to the landfill and disposed of properly.
As an avid outdoors person it’s disheartening to see this still continues today with all the curb side garbage collection in place and no charge garbage disposal at the Robin hood bay landfill site in St. Johns, NL, Tuesday to Saturday. Bremigens Pond, Paradise, NL only from along the shoreline near the dam. My intentions was to pick a few blueberries but I couldn’t leave this mess behind. It’s all removed now and I did get some lovely blueberries. Stay safe and enjoy the great outdoors
Another 11 tires removed from a trail near Bremigens Pond today in Paradise, NL and already taken to a proper tire drop off point where they will get recycled. Thanks Rick Gushue for the help. One cleanup at a time we will make it better for the ones coming after us to enjoy nature here on the Avalon. Stay safe and warm during the storm everyone.
